Olaf Schneider

Olaf Schneider (b.1964) is a husband, father of two, and grandfather of seven. He studied at the Ontario College of Art, Sheridan College and was greatly inspired by his mentor Ron Greig.  In 1986, while painting large scale outdoor advertising billboards for Mediacom, he acquired a strong practical foundation that would become integral to his work today.

For Olaf, each piece represents an intense exploration and refinement of his personal pictorial sensitivities, especially as they relate to beauty, form, light, and shade. Composition, color, and craftsmanship are all elements that become the building blocks of his work. Olaf is a prolific painter who is inspired by the power and diversity of the northern landscape, and anything that needs a "second look".  An explorer by nature, he travels across North America and Europe to gain inspiration. He is best known for his high realism style of painting.  It has been extremely rewarding for him to be recognized and awarded with the highest honours for much of his work both in Canada, USA, Europe (France & Austria).

Olaf's work can be found in private, corporate and museum collections such as the TD Bank collection, Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame, Woodbine Race Track, Sick Children’s Hospital (collections both in Toronto & Montreal), and the Louvre in Paris.

Peter Cheung

Born in Hong Kong, Peter Cheung was primarily influenced by Chinese art at an early age, although not able to pursue it until later in life. After moving to Canada in the late 70s, education and family commitments largely kept his artistic vigour at bay, but he never abandoned his desire to commit himself to the craft. In 2015, after a kidney transplant Peter decided to leave the corporate world and commit himself to becoming a full time artist. His philosophy for creating art is simple, he is committed to create artwork that emanates energy, life force and movement.

Peter's portfolio strongly reflects his love of horses which he had strong relationships with while growing up. In his youth, Peter had to walk past the race track to get to classes and many times he would leave home earlier to spend some time watching the morning run.  These beautiful animals often made him nostalgic and wistful for afternoons spent with his father at the track. His landscape works are heavily influenced by his fascination of the four seasons of Ontario.

A multiple winner of Juried shows, Peter Cheung's inspirations are vast. His repertoire includes everything from text book illustration to instructing public painting classes. His artwork has been seen at the Mountain Galleries, Paula White Diamond Art Gallery, Summer and Grace Gallery, Art Gallery of Burlington and Art Gallery of Guelph plus a vast array of private and corporate collectors.

Philip Brink

Philip Brink was born in Spanaway in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States in 1978.  This rural area quickly became enveloped by the nearby city, resulting in his observation of natural areas changing into urban sprawl.  He spent hours wading through rivers in nearby towns and forests, enjoying and connecting to nature.  Despite an interest in art, Philip pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies while completing extensive courses in Mathematics, Anthropology, Sciences, and biblical languages.

After completing his degree, Philip started a short stint in seminary, reevaluated his position on organized religion and joined the US Air Force.  This time focused his attention to detail and developed a need to learn continuously.  Trauma resurfaced during his time in a war zone along with adding new dangers.  The result was hospitalizations and a new outlook on life, his place in the world, and enjoyment of minor details overlooked by many.  He returned to art as an outlet for uncomfortable memories and a source for calming his mind through focus on naturalistic detail.

In 2012, Philip restored a statue of a Vietnam-era police dog now featured in an exhibit at the Security Forces Museum on Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.  Since 2021, his drawings were also featured “Emerging Artist Wellness” online gallery and paintings featured at Beaux Arts, Headwaters Arts’ fall festival, and Humber Valley Art Club.  He also presented “Mixing Mediums: Where Art and Tech Collide”, a two part series webinar for US Veterans on using technology as part of the artist’s creative process.

Philip now lives in Toronto, Canada the intention of moving away from past careers to focus on making sense of life by putting it onto canvas.
