Progressive Art For Progressive Kids
Daniela Easter is a self-taught portrait and floral artist and artist educator. She displays a mix of realistic and abstract images in oil, acrylic and watercolour in Studio One at the Beaux-Arts Brampton Gallery.
Daniela is the illustrator of Emma’s Jungle Adventure (published by Giant Beaver Publications) a children’s picture book for which she received the 2006 Arts Acclaim Award. Since the book’s launch in 2006, Daniela has enjoyed taking her book into local schools as part of a “Meet the Artist” presentation for grades JK-8.
She is the Program Director and instructor of Progressive Art for Progressive Kids which she has taught in the Beaux-Arts Brampton Workshop since 2002. She also opens her studio to kids for March ART Break and July ART Daze. For the more mature budding artist, she offers evening classes in Open Studio, for personalized art instruction for teens and adults at all skill levels.
At the close of 2008, Daniela completed a full-colour acrylic mural for Sir Winston Churchill P.S. and Early Years Hub entitled “Pathway to Learning” and is hoping to pursue more Artists in Education opportunities in the near future.
