Inside The Vault

Autumn Liminality

Inside The Vault, we take a look back at  Autumn Liminality of October 2019.

A show that highlighted the moment in time between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice, in which we prepared for the start of the darker half of the year.

Liminal: in anthropology is the transitional period or phase of a rite of passage, during which the participants’ social status or rank is completely disrupted, they remain anonymous, show deference and humility to others and themselves, and follows prescribed forms of conduct, dress, etc.

Our current society is dwelling in such a space which asks us to rethink those same themes.

As we now embark on what is the brighter half of our year, our eyes once again look for a future as our minds linger on the past.

We are excited to share the virtual retrospect of this truly illuminating show., featuring work from exhibiting Artists: Amanda Bhika, April Bhamra, Carrie Campbell, Christi Anne Abraham, Christopher Harms,Connie Munson, Enrique Bravo, Evan MacKinnon, Gabriella Tersign, Gail Burstyn, Gisele Boileau, Christa Zimmer, Josephine Condotta, Kayleigh Allen, Kyle Langlois, Leah Margaret Borges, Mehtaab Wachhair, Michael Brennan, Michelle Winters, Monica Burnside, Parwinder Kainth, Rupinder Kainth, Pat Tadier, and Shawn Duarte.

Curated by Regan Hayward and sponsored by the Wee Smoke Shop.
